Four weeks ago the BBC's Spotlight programme investigated allegations of potentially unsafe care given to patients at the Royal Victoria Hospital's Emergency Department. The programme unearthed evidence of two deaths last year where waiting times may have played a part, and on the day that programme was broadcast the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Tony Stevens, admitted to this programme that in fact there were five deaths last year where waiting times may have been a contributory factor. Well Spotlight has now returned to this subject and unearthed new details about what has been going on at the Royal which will be broadcast in tonight's programme.
