Unionist councillors criticised over Irish language walk out

Three Ulster Unionist party councillors on Down District Council have been criticised after they walked out of the chamber ahead of a talk by Irish language development officer Linda Ervine. The speech was about the history of the Irish language and protestants.

UUP Cllrs Desmond Patterson, Robert Burgess and Walter Lyons all left the meeting early.
