Is it time for the introduction of a "mansion tax"? Supporters of the move say it would tackle "the chronic unfairness in property taxation" as it brings about a 1% tax on property valued over £2 MILLION

Lib Dem 'Chief Secretary to the Treasury' - Danny Alexander agrees. He said that "it's important that the burden be shared" and that officials have done "a lot of work" on the best way to impose the charge.
