A bizarre kit mix-up at Colchester on Saturday led to Tranmere’s Ryan Lowe locking himself in the toilets before the match.

He’s been telling City Talk how the team talk was done for his side down at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, after Rovers were told they couldn’t wear their normal strip!

The referee had decided it clashed with United’s home shirt, meaning John McMahon’s side had to borrow Colchester’s away kit.
