From Classic FM website: The American pianist, now resident in the U.K., is descended from classical music royalty and has been acclaimed all over the world. Jacoby comes from a family with deep musical roots. Her great-great-great-grandfather was the pianist and composer Prince Louis Ferdinand, to whom Beethoven dedicated his Piano Concerto No. 3. She performs throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America both in recital and as a soloist with the world’s major orchestras. Recently she played with the Russian National Orchestra in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatoryl. Throughout her career she has worked with many eminent conductors including Sir Charles Mackerras, Leonard Slatkin and Lord Menuhin. She is the winner of numerous awards and competitions, including the Steinway Hall Artists Prize. Since moving to England, Jacoby has performed with the LSO, the London Philharmonic, the London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic, in the city’s major venues. Jacoby has given solo recitals at Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and St John’s Smith Square. Her discography covers a fascinating range of repertoire: the world-premiere recording of Korngold’s solo piano pieces; a CD of Beethoven piano works; a solo Russian piano music disc; and a recording with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Sir Charles Mackerras of the Shostakovich and Ustvolskaya piano concertos which earned the highest commendation of the American Record Guide.
