Hate Crime Herefordshire

A woman from Herefordshire's #transgender community says there isn't enough support for victims of hate crime in the county.

24 year old Lizzie Davies was born a male, but says through the support of her parents and friends, she's able to live as a woman.

Lizzie is now helping to set up a hate-crime awareness campaign in #Herefordshire, using her own experiences to support people from other minority groups.

According to figures from West Mercia Police, there were more than three times as many hate crimes and incidents recorded by police in October 2013 than in the same month in 2011. But the police are keen to stress Herefordshire IS a very welcoming place.
