Radio Shack Vox Clock II dies in a fun way

This is a recording of one of my Radio Shack Vox Clock II's (talking clock from the mid 1980's) at a point where the batteries are pretty well useless. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a pick-up coil, which would have made this even more interesting.
