Hautes Capelles Batonbearers Are Katie-Louise & Thomas

On Wednesday 14th May the Queen's Baton Relay will be touring Primary Schools here in Guernsey. The morning will start at 9am at La Houguette Primary School before venturing North towards Amherst and then Haute Capelles Primary School in the afternoon.

At Haute Capelles, Katie-Louise Baker in Year 3, will be representing her school alongside Thomas Gough from Year 6. Katie has cerebral palsy and uses crutches or a wheelchair, however this never stops her from having a go at anything. Her school nominated her as she shows real determination and always has a smile on her face.

Thomas lives for sport and always joins up for the sporting activities on offer both in and out of school. His school headteacher highlighted that he always displays good sportsmanship and positive behaviour towards his teammates and opponents.
