Three Days in the Emerald Isle

In the latest Cycling Podcast, Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe reflect on the Giro d'Italia's three days in Ireland.

There are interviews with double stage winner Marcel Kittel and Team Sky's Bernie Eisel, as well as Matt White, Charly Wegelius and Rolf Aldag, respectively the team directors of Orica-GreenEdge, Garmin-Sharp and Omega Pharma-QuickStep.

They ask, is Marcel Kittel now the world's fastest sprinter? And have we learned anything in the first three days about the form and fitness of the overall Giro favourites, including Cadel Evans, Nairo Quintana and Joaquim Rodriguez?

And what of the Giro's Irish excursion? Did the poor weather put a dampener on the occasion, or did the incredible support, and the fact that large swathes of the country seemed to have been painted pink, compensate?

Finally there is an interview with Brent Copeland, the manager at Lampre-Merida, on the team's allegedly troubled relationship with one of its star riders -- and podcast favourite -- Filippo Pozzato.
