Pupil Referal Units under the spotlight in Wales

The Children's Commissioner for Wales is warning special classes for troubled pupils are seen by some staff as 'dumping grounds'. In a report out today, Keith Towler said the quality of Pupil Referral Units -- or PRUs -- are inconsistent across Wales. He's now calling on the Welsh Government to issue new guidance on the provision and purpose of PRUs.
