"It's time to ban macho madness of North West 200" - so says Journalist Fionola Meredith in the Belfast Telegraph. 29 year old Englishman Simon Andrews remains critically ill in hospital after being injured in a high speed crash at Saturday's races. It was the second serious incident at this year's NW200 meeting, French rider Franck Petricola suffered serious injuries when he crashed during practice on Tuesday, his condition is still described as critical. And Maria Costello, the only female rider at the event, had to withdraw after breaking a bone in her leg during a crash in practice on Thursday.
