Filming in the Square Mile

Whether you are photographing City commuters on Millennium Bridge or making a Hollywood blockbuster, Joanna Burnaby-Atkins is the woman to talk to. Based in the City of London’s Film Liaison Unit at Guildhall, Jo-Jo and her colleague, Mick Bagnall, work with film location managers to provide permission and access to various City streets and buildings. Jo-Jo talks about the popularity of the Square Mile as a film location, the challenges of the job, and which screen legend she was particularly keen to meet.
