Martin Luther King's 'I Have a Dream' speech is known, and quoted, around the world, but few people know about the speech he gave in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1967 - after being given an honorary doctorate by the University. BBC Newcastle broadcast long-lost footage from that speech shortly after it was discovered - and we thought it deserved a wider audience. We've played it to senior politicians, journalists and religious figures - but our reporter Murphy Cobbing has now reached King’s back-yard in Atlanta, where she meets a family visiting King’s birthplace. The report starts with their daughter, 17 year old Allanah Davis singing a civil rights song.
