Is a corporation tax cut in Northern Ireland a step closer? There's growing optimism among campaigners that the devolution of corporation tax here will be in place by 2017. This would allow Stormont to match the 12.5% tax rate in the Republic of Ireland. Supporters of the move believe the economic boost to Northern Ireland from inward investment would outweigh the cost to the public purse. So should we be able to control our own corporation tax?
