Volunteers Week 1st - 7th June

This week is volunteers week and BBC Newcastle have been looking at the difference volunteers make to every day life.

Here Jonathan Miles chats to Chairman of the People's Kitchen Bob Eldridge, they've just won a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

They're one of just three North East groups to get the prestigious award - along with the Morpeth detachment of the Northumbria Cadet Force and the Brunswick Methodist Church Volunteers.
