Metro Radio, variously the Metropolitan Broadcasting Company, or MBC was the sixth in the first tranche of UK commercial stations, launching on 15th July 1974. Hear here the great test transmissions, featuring James Whale in his poshest voice, the launch and then some of the later imaging.
