Weekly Golf Podcast: The 114th US Open

Jun 11, 2014, 10:37 AM

The USGA have chosen an iconic golf course, in Pinehurst No. 2, to host the 114th US Open Championship.

The late, great Payne Stewart held off Phil Mickelson to win here in 1999 and Michael Campbell produced a Major shock when winning here in 2005, however the course has been modified significantly in the intervening period.

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw were tasked with recreating designer Donald Ross's original vision and they spent a year working on the golf course.

Dave Kelner, Mike Grenham and Steve Bamford from www.golfbettingsystem.co.uk talk about the redesign and offer their picks for the US Open on this edition of the podcast.
