The #OnThisDay take on the anniversary of #Custer'sLastStand at the #BattleoftheLittleBigHorn in Montana, on this day in 1876. Lieutenant Colonel, or "General" George Armstrong Custer and the two hundred and ten men under his command died in battle after the 7th Cavalry attempted to round up the inhabitants of a native American encampment. The troops were engaged by varying numbers of braves from the Sioux, Arapaho, Lakota and Cheyenne nations.
