The latest Telegraph Cycling Podcast, supported by Jaguar, includes discussion, analysis and interviews from Risoul, scene of the finish of stage 14 of the Tour de France, after the second and final day in the Alps.

Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe are joined by Ciro Scognamiglio of Gazzetta dello Sport as they ask whether Vincenzo Nibali can be beaten and discuss the battle raging place behind him for the podium, particularly between the two Frenchmen, Romain Bardet and Thibaut Pinot.

The stage was won by Poland’s Rafal Majka and there’s an interview with his Tinkoff-Saxo Bank directeur sportif, Bjarne Riis, and his teammate, Michael Rogers.

We also hear from Simon Yates, the young British rider who, for the second Saturday in a row, was in the day’s main breakaway. The 21-year-old was one of the last survivors, being caught with just 5.5km remaining of the climb to Risoul.

At the finish Yates seemed disappointed not to have won. “I’m quite an ambitious guy and I like to win,” he said, “so I’ll keep plugging away and hopefully get a win in the next week. It was an opportunity to win a stage, I tried to grab it and came up a bit short.”

We speak to Peter Velits, the BMC Racing teammate of Tejay van Garderen, the American who is fifth overall. And finally, there’s an interview with Romain Bardet’s sister, Lisa, who is working in the press office of the Tour de France.
