L.A. County Sheriff Confirms Deputy Killed Innocent

Los Angeles County Sheriff John Scott said Thursday autopsy results showed a deputy fired the shots that killed an innocent man during a gunfight and hostage standoff in Pico Rivera last week. Scott said the deputy mistook 54-year-old Frank Mendoza for a 24-year-old wanted parolee named Cedric Ramirez, and shot Mendoza in the forehead from about 15 feet away.
