Farewell to the RMLY

Hundreds of people turned-out to see an historic parade of The Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry in Shrewsbury back in April. The regiment of reservists - who's link with Shropshire goes back to 1795 - is being broken-up under Government's changes to the army. Around 200 members attended a service at St Chad's, before marching through the town for the final time.
