A new effort to track junk in space

Space junk travels at speeds of 17,500mph, and has caused damage to equipment including satellites worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Now the US defence firm Lockheed Martin has joined forces with a Canberra technology company to built a space junk tracking station in the Australian outback.
