Botswana diamond mine opens amid controversy

Despite a long running controversy over the treatment of the Bushmen, Botswana's President Khama has officially opened a diamond mine in the country's Central Kalahari Game Reserve. With deposits worth $4.5bn it will be one of the world's largest mines. Focus on Africa's Kim Chakanetsa spoke to Dr. Jeff Ramsay, coordinator of the Botswana Government Communication Information System. She asked him about the importance of the mine and how it will affect local indigenous communities.
