Could our old age pensioners be about to lose their free bus pass? If they are to keep them the DRD minister Danny Kennedy needs to find £9million in his budget later this month in the October Monitoring Round. The threat comes at a time when the minister has already warned that cuts could mean lights going out across Northern Ireland this winter, so could bus passes now also be under threat? Age Sector Platform held a 'Hands Off' rally in Belfast yesterday to coincide with Older People's Day.
