The wars that resulted in South Sudan's independence had a devastating impact on education. Many people were unable to study at all and others had to leave school early. It's estimated that only 27% of the population is literate. Most bookshops in South Sudan sell only school textbooks and religious books. But Leaves Bookshop in Juba is different. It sells the latest fiction and non-fiction from around the world - and attempts to encourage more South Sudanese to read. James Copnall reports from Juba.
