Now many countries are looking to Nigeria as a test case of good practice in dealing with the ebola crisis. Clearly there are a number of countries which haven't declared a single case of ebola in the region, but they remain vigilant. Ghana is one of them - and President John Mahama - the chair of the regional body Ecowas is calling for a meeting of West African leaders in November to focus on a regional response to the virus.
