Remembering our presenter, Mark Whittaker

Many of our listeners will be familiar with the name Mark Whittaker. And if not, we're pretty sure you'd recognise his voice.

For the past two years, Mark was one of the main presenters of this programme, as well as our sister show, Business Matters.

Sadly he passed away on October 1st after a short illness, and his funeral took place on Tuesday.

Mark was an extraordinarily talented radio presenter and he graced the airwaves with his unique wit, intelligence and humility for 31 years, both on domestic radio in Britain and on the World Service.

We wanted to celebrate some of the wonderful work he did here at the BBC, so our colleague Sarah Stolarz put together this tribute.
