The Coffee House Sessions are a chance for you to see some of the country’s most exciting and upcoming artists perform at universities across the country, including at the University of London Union (ULU). 30 different universities across the country have taken part in the scheme where artists perform 30-minute acoustic sets at different student spots up and down the country.

All of the artists are approved by BBC Radio 1’s ‘Introducing’ presenter Ally McCrae and the project has previously helped with the success of Hudson Taylor, Stephanie Fraser and many more.

Last week, singer/songwriter Gavin James performed for the Coffee House Sessions. Gavin has just completed his first US headline tour, and will soon be supporting James Blunt for the second time in his career. With an Irish Choice Music Prize Award for 'Song of the Year' already under his belt, Gavin is tipped for success in the future. Charlie Mathers and Emma Halligan from Smoke Radio caught up with Gavin after the session.
