Proud son of Birmingham Soweto Kinch visited Jazz FM and spoke with Chris about his improvisational technique and what drives his music. As adept with hip hop lyrics as he is a virtuoso saxophonist Kinch is an eloquent and interesting force of nature who effortlessly encapsulates the music of now and succeeds with seemless integration with his clear respect and reflection of music legacy handed down by the greats. Soweto performs with his band at 606 Club, Lotts Road, in Chelsea for EFG London Jazz Festival on Thursday 20th November.
