Generation Z: Monkey See, Monkey Do

Every generation has its own unique encyclopedia, co-authored by the individuals who lived them firsthand. As the audience, we strive to compile all the information acquired in order to answer one vital question—what distinguishes those born in various generations from one another? Moreover, what is it about contemporary music that either refutes or supports what we know about these individuals? Last week at PSEO Studios, host Hayden Ferencz delved into the minds of teenagers and young adults to gather insight into the millennials. In doing so, he discovered that many of his younger interviewees broke away from the ideals of the millennials, leaning towards the next generation: Generation Z. On this edition of The Generation Alphabet, Hayden is joined by teenagers Kalan Inman, Maddie Hemeyer, and Darby Leneghan to finally unravel the truth about the iGeneration. With carefully selected internet articles and a playlist of music at their disposal, they attempt to determine what makes the generation tick. What they discover may rethink the way we use social media as a whole.
