Saxophonist Jimmy Greene speaks to Ruth Fisher about his music tribute to six year old daughter Ana, murdered in the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting

Jimmy Greene has had a distinguished career, playing with some of the jazz greats including Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Tom Harrell, Kenny Barron and more. His new release 'Beautiful Life' is a dedication to Ana Márquez Greene, his six year old daughter, who was one of 20 children murdered in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut two years ago. Jimmy describes to Ruth Fisher about Ana's wonderful personality, how he and his family came to terms with the unimaginable pain, the support network around his family and those who helped him get back to music, his influences and inspirations, faith and the stella line-up of jazz stars who stepped forward to help make this album. Amongst them were Kurt Elling, Pat Metheny, Kenny Barron, Christian McBride and Cyrus Chestnut.
