In this week's episode of the Telegraph Cycling Podcast, Daniel Friebe and Lionel Birnie are joined by Ned Boulting to discuss Velon, the new body formed by 11 of the world's top teams to revolutionise professional road racing.

Velon's goal is to improve the stability of the sport for the teams, develop a more cohesive calendar of races and make cycling more appealing to more people. Daniel, Lionel and Ned discuss the few details that have come out so far.

There's also a despatch from a muddy Milton Keynes, which hosted a round of the cyclo-cross World Cup, from Paul Scoins.

And with the Astana umbrella organisation's fifth doping positive of the year, where next for Astana and the UCI?
