Musician Orphy Robinson and writer Paul Bradshaw talk to Chris Philips about John Coltrane's legendary album, on its 50th anniversary year, and the live event on the actual anniversary date Tuesday December 9th at Union Chapel in Islington, North London where a large ensemble will re-envision it again. Bradshaw enlightens us on the the inspirations and mind state of Coltrane at the time and Robinson describes how he and arranger Rowland Sutherland go about the project musically.
