Given the subject matter we are about to discuss, you might not want your children listening for the next half hour or so. It's uncomfortable listening, but it's about a really important issue for society.

You are about to hear from a man who says he is attracted to children, but has never acted upon it. I've been presenting phone-in radio shows for a very long time - Over the weekend, Stephen had one of the most extraordinary and disturbing conversations he can ever remember. We were reporting on the comments made by Simon Bailey - Chief Constable of Norfolk and the child protection lead at the Association of Chief Police Officers. He had said that men sexually attracted to children should be treated as patients not criminals. In the debate that followed, researcher Sarah Goode told us that she believes as many as one in five men have the potential to be attracted to children as well as adults. And then a man who we're calling Michael contacted us. As you'll hear, he's got a very powerful story. He was abused as a child - and then he claims he has fought against attraction towards for much of his adult attraction towards children. He told us he never acted on those feelings. But what he says, gives an insight into the battle that many men face. You can now hear the interview in full
