‘S trusaidh mi na coilleagan ( The Cockle Gatherer)

Collected by Marjory Kennedy Fraser (1857-1930) Marjory Kennedy Fraser was born in Perth, her father was a well- known Scottish singer and Marjory used to accompany him on the piano while her performed. Marjory visited Eriskay in the Western Isles and discovered that there were many beautiful Gaelic songs in danger of becoming forgotten. She recorded and transcribed music for these songs and compiled several volumes of ‘ Songs of the Hebrides.’
