Cuts to home help services in Belfast have been dramatically halted. Yesterday, we brought you the story of how shopping, laundry and cleaning services by home helps had fallen victim to cost-saving cutbacks. The move by the Belfast Trust affected around 550 older people. The Trust said it was a temporary move which it hadn't taken lightly. Older people and their families hit out on this show yesterday. Politicians spoke out afterwards, as did the Commissioner for Older People Claire Keating. We can also reveal that the Attorney General John Larkin was taking an interest. Then last night came the news that the Belfast Trust had changed its mind. Well 89-year-old Adeline and her grand daughter Julie came to the Nolan show when Adeline got a letter saying her home help was being cut. So it's you two who're responsible for the Trust's U turn!!! We hear again from Adeline and her grand daughter Julie and Stephen gets the views of Linda Robinson chief executive Age NI and SDLP health spokesman Fearghal McKinney
