Earthquake Resistant Pipes Installed Near Northridge Hospital

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has begun to install earthquake resistant water pipes near Northridge Hospital and several other sensitive sites around the City. The pipes are widely used in Japan and have been proven to withstand large earthquakes.
