Its been announced by the Environment Minister Mark H Durkan that plans for a new taxi Licensing Regulations have be voted down by the assembly. The new regulations would have brought in a one tiered taxi system meaning all taxis would be able to sit on the road for hire and would no longer have to be pre-booked. Environment Minister Mark H Durkan has expressed his disappointment that the regulations have not been passed. The Minister joins Stephen and we also get the views of Kieran Reilly, a representative Belfast Public hire taxi drivers and Ken Kelly is a private hire taxi driver
