Bright Sparks: Total Recall - Neuroscientist Richard Roche on Memory and the Brain

Richard Roche is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology in Maynooth University specialising in the area of cognitive neuroscience. In this short clip, Richard talks about the brain and memory, and how context can be used in recall to update, distort or even remove a memory. The brain is a complex system and Roche says "We've learned more about the brain in the last 50 years than in the previous 2000" Hear more from Richard and many other fascinating scientists when the full series of Bright Sparks airs on RTE Radio 1 later this year.
