Sir Ian - Aberdeen Must Look Beyond the North Sea

The North East needs to redevelop itself as an educational centre for the oil and gas industry to secure the region's economic prosperity.
That's according to Sir Ian Wood following the 2014 annual review of The Wood Foundation, which committed millions of pounds to educational establishments in Aberdeen last year.
£2.25 million was granted to the Robert Gordon's College Science and Technology Centre, while half-a-million pounds each went to RGU's oil and gas institute and to Albyn School's engineering science centre. He says the Granite City should establish itself as an "international centre" for the industry, similar to Houston and Calgary.
