A short introduction to the 6th movement of the "German Requiem" by Brahms. A wonderful composition which I've only recently come across. Subsequently followed by the final movement over the next day or two. This sixth movement is in five sections, and we once again here the wonderful baritone voice of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. The title of this movement - "Denn wir haben hie keine bleibende Statt" translates into English as "For here we have no lasting place". Another beautiful passage indeed.
