The Noongar Tent Embassy in Perth say they want to bring International attention to the Western Australian Government's plans to defund remote communities.

The Embassy on Matagarup, or Heirisson Island, has set up a 'refugee camp' to take in displaced Indigenous peoples if communities are closed and people forced off their land.

Noongar advocate Marianne Mackay told 98.9fm shutting down First Nations homelands is a policy which harks back to early colonial days.
