Researchers have tested how people over the age of 30 might only catch the flu about twice a decade. They had volunteers from Southern China and they tested the antibody levels in the volunteers blood samples. Influenza is sometimes confused with the same symptoms of the common cold which would affect the data if that was not recorded.
