The safeguarding official for the Diocese of East Anglia has told BBC Essex that he will draw up a report on Father Tony McSweeney, drawing on police and court interviews and trial transcripts and send it to the Vatican. McSweeney is serving 3 years for indecently assaulting a teenager and other sex offences at a children's home in west London, three years before becoming a priest in the Brentwood Diocese. While an Essex priest, gay pornographic videos featuring teenagers were found in his presbytery. He left St Peter's in Eastwood after the discovery but was then appointed as a priest in Norwich, despite the two bishops of East Anglia and Brentwood consulting each other. Safeguarding official Michael Thurley says that's one of the issues to be examined
