It looks set to be one of the closest elections in recent years with certain forecasters calling it a dead heat between David Cameron's Conservatives and Ed Milliband's Labour. Also at stake is possibly the future of the UK's place in the European Union. In a bid to transfer more power from Brussels back to the UK, David Cameron is offering the British people an in/out referendum in 2017 should the tories be re-elected to government.
