The BBC's been told that NHS doctors are seeing dozens of young children each year who are unhappy with their biological sex. The number of 10 year olds and under, who've been referred to support services to help deal with transgender feelings has more than quadrupled in the last six years. Life can be very tough for trans people. According to research published last year by PACE, a mental health charity, around sixty per cent of transgender young people said they'd self-harmed, compared with just under nine per cent of all 16-24 year olds.
