With the outcome of the UK general election looking increasingly unclear, how nervous are markets of an indecisive outcome? As Marc Ostwald, strategist at ADM Investor Services points out, in the past the UK market has weathered one indecisive election result in 1974, but then wobbled when a second election was called. Of course, as today's UK strong employment numbers showed, the UK economy is a million miles from the 3-day weeks and widespread industrial action that blighted 1974.
