A glimpse of some of the world's oldest art

An ambitious prehistoric reconstruction will open its doors to the public on 25 April.

The Chauvet cave, in the Ardeche region of southern France, contains some of the oldest and most remarkable cave drawings ever found - yet it has been sealed shut since its discovery to preserve this precious art.

Now a vast replica of the cave and its spectacular paintings have been built - but how do they compare with the real thing?
