How to busk a German news conference

This is the story of the British journalist caught out covering a German news conference with little or no knowledge of the language. When Ben Bloom set about blogging for the Telegraph from the UK on a sporting event, he expected an English translation. But when there was none, he went ahead anyway, typing what he thought was happening instead.
