But is it still art?

A smashed up violin, chipped china and torn paintings...nope, it's not the aftermath of a diva strop in a top hotel.

Instead, we're talking about the features of a new exhibition in Chicago, which celebrates art that's literally BROKEN..!

Called 'No Longer Art', it even features a cracked sculpture by artist Jeff Koons, whose pieces usually sell for millions of dollars.

'Red Balloon Dog', shown here, fell from a mantlepiece - and it's price tag dropped with it.

So, is there life for such exhibits after they've been damaged?

And can so called 'totalled' art still go for big bucks?

Elka Krajewska is the founder of the Salvage Art Institute in New York, and is curating the show in Chicago.

She told our presenter Susannah Streeter all about the exhibition, which runs at the Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society Gallery until Sunday June 26.
